National holidays
These public holidays apply throughout Switzerland with minor exceptions:

- March 29 (Friday): Good Friday (except in Ticino and Valais)
- April 1 (Monday): Easter Monday (mostly unofficial)
- May 9 (Thursday): Ascension
- May 20 (Monday): Whit Monday (except in Fribourg, Valais and Zug)
