Entrepreneurial duties - All current changes in our February update

As of February 2, 2023, some regulations relating to entrepreneurial obligations will change, and some will even disappear completely. The article provides a brief overview.

The Corona Occupational Health and Safety Ordinance, which was originally scheduled to expire April 7,2023, will end early on Feb. 2, 2023. As a result, there are now no uniform federal requirements for occupational infection control.

Elimination of compulsory masking in public transport and long-distance traffic - both at federal and state level. Only in Thuringia will the mask requirement not be ended until February 3. In doctors' offices and other healthcare facilities, the mask requirement under the Infection Protection Act will remain in place - currently until April 7, 2023.

From February 1, 2023, after a transition period, a new DIN for first-aid kits has become effective. First-aid kits must now contain two surgical or FFP2 masks. However, for first-aid kits that have not expired, it is also sufficient to put two face masks in the box or carry them in the car.

The energy conservation requirement is to be extended until April 15, 2023. So far, this regulation is valid until February 28, but the need for energy saving is still relevant. Thus, it is to be extended: The requirement to lower the minimum room temperature in workplaces by one degree Celsius, the setting of the maximum temperature in public workplaces at 19 degrees, and the ban on heating private swimming pools. There is also a ban on washing hands with hot water if the hot water is used exclusively for washing hands. And the use of illuminated advertising is still prohibited between 10 pm and six am. So the cities will remain dark for a little longer.
